Bass N Spear Congratulation!!!!!

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the offer BnS. I'd love to head out to a destination at some point. The season is growing short for me this year and life coming at me hard, so I think my next real chance may be next opener.

PS - the kids played with some sunnies and crappies yesterday. We saw a few really nice bass, but we weren't set up with a rod at the time so we just watched them. Had one small pike come through and grab the sucker and kept going. It was pretty exciting even for such a small fish. He never gave me a decent shot so we just let him go on his way as well.

I would consider Bass n Spear a specialist in darkhouse spearfishing.

I don't think people should get too caught up with spelling or gramatical issues. My college roomate had a politcal science paper published in a respectable journal before graduation. He cannot spell worth a darn. Another buddy with a masters in mechanical engineering cannot write a legible note to save his life. On a standardized IQ test he scores above the 98th percentile on measures of spatial reasoning and non-verbal concept formation. The guy could fix any car problem and rebuilt carberators and a transfer case in his bedroom when we were in high school.

I like the fact that Bass N Spear is always willing to offer information to those who ask. He also does not seem to get provoked or bent out of shape by anyone's commentary. This is a character trait that I really respect. I also believe that enthusiasm and offering encouragement goes a long ways in helping people out which is what this site is all about.

i had said congratulations to bass n spear before , and i will say it again! CONGRATS!

i don't really care why he was made a moderator. i trust Rick and the others in thier decission! i wasn't aware that we had to use complete sentences, and correct spelling . aren't we are just talking as friends? i do know that to be a moderator, one has to be willing to take the time and put forth the effort to watch over a forum or forums, plus be willing to offer any help when he can. del

Glad to see you BassnSpear, you have done a good job as a member and I am looking forward seeing more info and topics from you as staff.

-----------

I also wanted to add that I have spoke with BassnSpear on many topics concern the esox family and I have faith in him and his knowledge of these beasts that we all chase after. What I like about having Bass N Spear as staff is with RK doing all the things that RK has to do and me busy with ice anglers and rentals it is hard to cover all the bases. Bass N Spear is able to help out and handle many questions. Now instead of two guys to help the Muskie/Pike forum has three! Those of you that have been around for awhile remember the old muskie/pike forum, it was boring with limited info. Look at it now. For the most part every name on this forum I consider a friend. I have even sat down in person and spoke with Lals, Cjac, mtreno, muskiemojo, and many others because if this forum. Granted we all have different views on different topics but we are all what I call the esox family and we are growing everyday. This muskie forum is now reconized across the states as a go to for Muskie info, the traffic, topics and members show that. Now the members have a top notch muskie man RK, a guy that breaths and sleeps big pike Jonny P, and Bass n spear, pike and spearing guy that is always helpful no matter is going on.

One again I am not only happy that the ENTIRE FM staff asked Bass N Spear to do this after exstensive screening I am even happier that he excepted to take this on. It is not a easy job. It takes hours of computer time and a lot of knowledge to be able to make sure things go smoothly and you musky guys don't go batty over winter. wink.gif

B n S -

well, i will not tell a lie. i was reading your first posts coming thru and thought - great, another one of these guys...... another know it all spear-fisherman here to spout off a bunch of facts he made up one night while drinking at a bar...... great. well - you proved me wrong. your helpfullness goes a long way - there has been some very, very good info here. keep it up and i believe that you will be a true assett to fm as well as helping RK & Jonny with the day to day stuff. the best way to better a sportsman is to educate him. so keep it up - plus we need to have something else to read on here other than us muskie guys cryin about winter. the bottom view photos are the best!

just stay out of my way this summer - you goofy bass guys are always in my way cool.gif

To all,

Jonny P is moving houses and RK is answering "hate mail" from walleye anglers after his last article in O. News. Glad you're here to help fill the void B 'n' S!

We all have our baises (I know as a Yammy owner I'll gladly rescue someone with an inferior motor grin.gif and charge them for it), but we're all after the same result, big fish, fun times & lots of both!

The more "banter" the better, I've learned a lot from sidebar email conversations, lots of good people here that are passionate and willing to share.

To quote RK......."Cheers".

Chris

Thank you for the warm welcome, I really look forward to sharing information with everyone. My goal is to help everyone become a better spear angler and fisherperson. To those who feel I am not up to the challenge, I look forward to proving you wrong.

I am here to help everyone out as much as I can. I am here to have a good time, and enjoy talking about fishing in general.
