Lazer Electra Auger...

Any thoughts on the Lazer Electra Auger versus a gas powered auger. My concern is how will the battery life hold up when drilling. Thanks for your input.

I have had the Strikemaster Electric Auger for 2 yrs now and I really enjoy it. I haven't had any trouble at all. No exhaust smell in the house and no spilling of gas. I can drill about 22-27 holes when the ice is about 20 inches. I know I will stay with the electric and a number of my friends have also converted over. Hope this helps.

i just got one a couple of weeks ago and LOVE IT. of course the one i had previously was a hand auger. I have drilled 26 holes so far with it and have not had to charge it. It isnt quite as fast as a gas auger however, by the time you would get a gas auger started and warmed up you would be done with the electric. Good Luck

How much slower is it compared to the gas?

I bought mine last year and really like it a gas auger was not a option since i drive a suv gas smell inside would not go well with the better half also is quiet so so for me its the best option Terry
