Is there a law against............??

Recommended Posts

Running your power augers early in the morning, let's say...... 3 or 4am? Some can get pretty loud. Especially if Im fishing on a lake surrounded by houses, I wouldnt want somebody to complain. So, is there some kind of noise ordinance out there for this?

I don't think there is, but since our state's lawmakers are back in session we should keep our voices down. I'm sure one of them would be happy to escalate this into a crisis that is robbing are children's future.

Don't quote me on this but I am pretty sure it is illegal to "make noise" before 9am in Eden Prairie, I would assume other suburbs have similar ordinances.

If someone will complain about leaf blowers, er, wait a minute, you wouldn't find "those" people on a frozen lake at 4 a.m.

Most towns have a 7 to 7 quiet hours. I think that it is designed more for the type of noise that construction vehicles make and not an auger that runs for a couple of minutes and then gets turned off. Have a good one and N Joy the Hunt././Jimbo

Best day of my life was moving out of the Metro. Back to GOD's country. Where you can run around your yard naked after a sauna, turn the radio up pretty much anytime you want and get this if your car is parked in YOUR driveway the neighbors aren't whining. God I love Northern Minnesota!!!!! Best of all when I have to drive to work 15 mile it doesn't take me an hour or two depending if it rained or snowed the night before.

It's winter. The houses should have the windows closed. I don't think it would be that much noise. If you are worried, maybe just turn the muffler towards the shore furthest from you and drill away.

    • This team is not going anywhere with  Tom Thibodeau as there coach.
    • Have to agree great game looked real good definitely more aggressive time will tell.
    • Wisconsin's traditional nine-day gun deer hunting season opens this Saturday and with snow in many northern areas and more in the forecast for Friday into Saturday but with otherwise relatively mild hunting conditions it should make for a good opener.Hunters can find all the information they need by searching the DNR HSOforum for keyword "deer." Or new for this year, hunters with mobile devices can download the Hunt Wild Wisconsin mobile app, which provides mapping, shooting hours and easy access to regulations. Hunters can download the app from the DNR HSOforum at keywords "hunt app."Little Manitou Falls at Pattison State Park has begun to ice over. Skim and shelf ice is forming on lakes and some smaller lakes have frozen over.Photo credit: DNRThis is the earliest possible opening of the season and while it is winding down in some areas, rutting activity is still noticeable with bucks visiting their scrapes and rubs and still being seen chasing does. A reminder that hunters must register their deer by 5 p.m. the day after recovery and registration is now easier than ever online, by phone or in person at registration stations. Search the DNR HSOforum for "GameReg," for details. Hunters can get a deer tested for CWD at no cost and can find sampling locations by searching for keywords "CWD Sampling." .
    • It looks great! Throw a few nonslip rugs down.  It's Winter after all! 😋
    • I converted mine to 1 ton Reese 12v winch. Seems to work well with my light weight wheel house.
    • Looks great but cold and slippery, I'm a carpet guy.
    • absolutely 100% yes. Like with the augers though, use a good drill. My Ryobi barely does both sides once on a battery, my Fuel is 1000 times better. It's not recommended to go down with a drill, only up. You'll see all this on Nutz w e b s i t e.
    • I missed it too, the caps always just own us.
    • Who all uses this system? Do you raise and lower your house with a drill.   I was looking at picking up the 2 speed winchs for both axles and the hitch winch.   Are they worth the money??
