Still pulling out perms?

I'm not a perm owner, but I was wondering how you perm owners feel about the last few winters?

We're already 6 or 7 weeks away from having to pull the perms off and we're just starting to get some good ice making weather.

Are you still planning on pulling them out this year or have you thrown in the towel on another hardwater season?

I'll be putting my perm out as soon as we have a couple more inches of ice.

I pulled mine out last night. My son and I both spent the night in it. The fishing wasnt good, but the time we spent together was worth every penny I spent on the house.

Dude, that's exactially what I'm talking about. In all honesty I really don't catch that many fishies out of my perm, but the memories are priceless.

There is nothing better than the 6 year old jumping out of the top bunk onto you at 3:45 AM to beat you to the rattle reel!!!!!!!!!! The smile on their face when the pull the fish out of the hole is priceless.

I will be helping my Father-in-law put out his Perm either today or early next week. Granted we have had good Ice in Brainerd.....just not on the lakes he likes.

Mine is going out on Monday and I haven't decided if I'll leave it to stay or pull it back out with me when I leave to be put on another lake. I use mine in the summer for camping and during deer season for a bunk house. Never throw in the towel...though I know it's heavy as a tank and need lots of ice to pull it out...I won't risk my life to fish in it.

These winters are making the time I get mine out very short but I just can't let it go by as I have been doing it every year for 28 years. Mine will go out on Sunday.

Putting out our "family fish house" as my wife likes to call it Tomorrow. Good spot to keep the kids warm while we go scouting in portables.

For the record...I was willing to call it anything she wanted as long as she was willing to let me buy it.

My son and I pushed our wheel house out on Tuesday. With the colder weather i will be driving out by Wednesday, my next day off. We have used the house every day since Tuesday and someone will be in it every day until they have to be off the lake. It makes it easier when you live across from the lake.

Mine isnt going to see the ice this year. mines on skids and our lake is till 2/3 open. Not worth the hassle this year for me
