LX-5 and FL-18

Hello i am sure someone out there has fished FL-18 and LX-5 next to each other. Do they work well next to each other. Any interferance problems??

Fished this past weekend in 40 FOW side by side with an FL18 and an LX5. Vexilar had terrible interference but the LX5 was fine. Tried everything to get rid of the interference, but nothing worked. I know I have fished with no problems in the past with these 2 machines, but this time I had problems.

Had the two units side-by-side a few weekends ago and there was definitely interference on the Vex while the LX5 was clear but it was cleared up by playing with the I.R. button for awhile... We were in 25 FOW.

Its going to depend on bottom content and depth you are fishing.. The softer the bottom and the shallower you are fishing, the less problems you are going to have with the units working together.. If you are in 30+ feet of water over rock.. YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEMS!... if your fishing 10 feet over a soft bottom.. you should be fine.

Deitz is right, i have seen what he is talking about. with the hard and soft bottoms.

Have fished both side-by-side and have cleared the interference in deep and shallow depths.

have used both side by side 20 feet of water,no problems with either unit.
