cherokee
I'm planning on putting the gun away for whitetails next year and will be doing some late season musky fishing. I'm looking for pointers in rigging my boat for late season trolling (end of October thru freeze up). Will be on big water, perhaps vermilion, Mille Lacs, Leech or maybe LOW NW I don't have a kicker on my boat (125 mercury) - unsure how slow I need to get? Have rod holders etc. In general what kind of problems can I expect to encounter during this late season. What are some general patterns/experiences/tips in fishing cold water? Are fish holding deep or do they come up onto shelves/rocks looking for spawners. If there is a good book out there let me know the title and author. Appreciate any feedback.
