0 mean green
A few years ago, I had a fl-8 that would light up all around the screen in all colors. After talking to the vexilar guys, turns out that the internal parts had gotten wet. I opened it up & put over a furnace register at home for about 1/2 of a day. Put it back together & it worked like new. Maybe your problem is similar.
0 harvey lee
I would call Vexilar before you touch anything as it may be a simple fix.
0 mean green
They had me check two things first. The battery charge & the transducer.
0 Northlander
SEnd it in to vex. Dont play around with it if it still under warranty. Its more than likely a simple fix and they will fix it at a reasonable price. My old 8 had some squeeling issues and they said it was some bushings or brushes or something. They fixed it up and all I was charged was shipping.
