MuskyBug85 Posted October 18, 2006 Share Posted October 18, 2006 hey quickstrike my roommate is planning on heading of to the brule to hopefully get his little bro on his first steelie and i was wondering if the fish are up to ff yet. he is going to be drifting and fly rodding, no hardware. any help on how far up the fish are or if there is even a fishable poplulation in the river yet would be great, thanks in advance. Quickstrike Posted October 20, 2006 Share Posted October 20, 2006 they are spread out throughout the system now, water is looking much better than in weeks past. water is still warm enough that fly patterns such as stones, buggers, and other nymphs will outproduce yarn/egg patterns that seem to produce better towards the end of the season and in early spring.
