Trout Season Closer

The SE MN stream trout season closer is this coming Sunday, October 1st.

I am very sad to see this come to an end. I hope winter goes by quick!

I went out before the season closed and had an incredible day of fishing. Trout were everywhere and feeding like crazy on the surface. I caught and released several dozen trout. All of them going for a small dry olive dunn. It was a great way to end the season. Can't wait for early season this spring.

Went down on the last day also and had a great day, caught about a dozen on artificials with the biggest one being a beautifal 19" male with a nice hook jaw- not my biggest fish of the season, but it sure had nice coloring. And go figure, I left the camera at home. Guess I will have to catch it again next season!
