I Bass SLAY3R I
Today we experienced a pretty good size cold front with temperatures dropping 20 degrees. Tommorrow i will be venturing out into the cold with some buddies from work to try for some north metro bass. If anyone has some advice how to appraoch this situation I would greatly appreaciate it. Ray Esboldt
I am a believer in a big old jig-n-pig fished at a crawl after a big temp and pressure swing. I'm talking a bulky half ounce jig with a large piece of plastic. And, literally crawl it along the bottom. No hopping it or swimming it. Just slow. But, we are getting to that time of year where fronts don't shut the fish down that much. This one will (and did yesterday for me). Nonetheless, this is the time of year that fish just got to eat no matter what the conditions are.
I Bass SLAY3R I
Thanks Ray!I will be throwing a jig n pig tommorrow but the crawling presentation advice is something i will definetly try out, The lake i am going to has a very deep weedline extending out to 17 ft which has produced some nice fish on a jig n pig during the mid summer months but this will be my first time out there past august. But I will give it my best shot.
