nice tv idea for fish house

I just put an lcd tv in my fish house- It is an under the cabinet style that i mounted under the top bunk. the screen folds up out of the way . It is a 7 inch tv. I am testing how long it will run on a deep cycle battery- so far it is 12 hours and still going strong. Yhe screen seem plenty big for my 17 ft house. Only cost 120 at shopko.

You may be plesantly surprised how long that battery will actually last.

Great idea. The only concern I have is the cold, some LCDs get very "slow" when it gets cold and I have even seen them crack when they get extremely cold. You might want to try and make it portable so you can remove it when you leave.

I would agree with RobertELee. We have one in our camper and on some cold days it seems like it has to "warmup".

Going portable my be the best option.

Ya, i think i will remove it when it is really cold out- It is secured with 4 screws- i would like to come up with another way to remove it- some type of quick release gadget, will have to be home made

I don't think leaving it in the cold is a good idea. I have a 7 inch portable dvd player and I leave it in my pickup until the ice house is marmed up. I don't think condensation will do it any good either.
