Deitz Dittrich
PBJ- We are all willing to share a lot of information on this board.. but spacific lakes can be kind of tough, unless you want your area a bit crowded...
LEECH21
Exactly Deitz. If its Green Lake in Spicer, I've got all your answers.
Deitz Dittrich
Thats my guess Leech-... I think FM is a great way of sharing information.. you just really have to be carefull about spacific lakes, thats all...I think this board is much better if used at how to make us all better anglers, not which lake is hot. rippinlips
We had a club tournament out there 1 month ago and the smallies were agressive and very nice sized. They were very picky on what they would bite.
grab the net
No need to apologize, it is not a very well kept secret anymore that Green is a smallmouth hotspot. It is kind of like saying, shush!!! Mille Lacs and Red Lake are good wallye lakes, but don't tell anybody. A trip to Green will not disappoint for smallies. RK
Hehe... After one of the first issues of the magazine I work on hit the newsstands I got a phone call, at home, at about 10:30 at night from a guy who absolutely read me the riot act for mentioning the name of his top secret muskie lake that nobody really knew about but him... I mean, the guy was livid... Who knew Leech Lake was such a well-kept secret? Every body of water, no matter how well known, is someone's 'secret spot.' cheers, Rob Kimm
skink
There will always be some place someone designates as their secret and I'm not giving up my secret bronzeback river in northeast wisconsin... or was it southeast?
basssmasher*
if you get on the rocks on Green you will find ALOT of nice smallies w/tubes this time of yr
rangerforme
That whole lake is one big rock pile. I know the anglers elite it took 8 for for 30 lbs a day for two days to win. A 3 lb average for 16 fish got you a nice pat on the back.
basssmasher*
i was told largemouths won the elite in the slough east of the main lake!!
