Down Deep
Anybody bought Bug Luggage? What do you think? Better mousetrap or is the old takle box just as good?
Matt Johnson
It's a great tackle box for inside your pocket. Nice to have when hole hopping for pannies. It can hold a pile of jigs and you don't have to worry about tangled jigs when your hands are cold. It also allows to see what's in your jig box a whole lot easier. It's a tough little box that can withstand some abuse and they store very easy... hanson
I need to pick a couple of them up soon for my smaller panfish stuff.I've been using metal fly boxes to store my little panfish stuff but they keep popping out of the metal retaining clips. Yeah, they are small lures. And then I have a mess inside my flybox. I think the Bug Luggage should solve that problem.

Matt Johnson
The Bug Luggage will hold jigging spoons as well, but it's more designed for smaller jigs. You should be able to get quite a few jigging spoons in one though...I like to use the Tackle Pouches from Todays Tackle for my jigging spoons. Here's a link to a short video explaining more about the Tackle Pouches...Today's Tackle - Tackle Pouches VideoThe Tackle Pouches are nice for jigging spoons because you don't get a tangled mess and it's easy to see what you're grabbing. You can purchase the Tackle Pouches on Today's Tackle's website... Duffman
I've had the small Bug Luggage for two years and it has held up nicely. Bigger jigging spoons would probably not hold as well, just because of the weight of the spoons. I've dropped my BL a couple of times on some hard surfaces and only a couple of the jigs popped free from the holders. It's a nice little product. hanson
Did somebody say Jigging Spoons? Here ya go. I copied this from a previous topic on this subject. ------------------------------------------------------------- I've come up with a few tackle storage solutions in the past and I think this will be the year when I finally become TOTALLY organized. My biggest headache in the past was jigging spoons. Ahhh!!! The trebles were always tangling with the split rings. I would reach into my tackle tray for 1 spoon and end up with a cluster of 4 that took 2 minutes to untangle. So, I stumbled across this clever solution. I took some fly boxes (these happen to be from Gander Mt. but Cabelas makes them as well). I then took some adhesive weather stripping and attached them to the inside cover. The weather stripping keeps pressure on the lures when the box is closed so they don't flop around. Simple and very effective. The boxes run about $5-6 a piece. Maybe this isn't the cheapest solution but it works awesome!! I then took a Sharpie Pen and labeled the outside of each box for type of lure as well as size. I just picked up a couple more boxes last week since my jigging spoon collection is growing. I'll soon be filling a box with Custom Jigs & Spins Demon Jigging Spoons as well as some JRs Tackle Spoons. All of these boxes I keep in a soft side tackle box from Cabelas.
