lunker651
I'm looking to buy a broadhead target to tune my broadheads before the season starts and was wondering which one will last for a couple season. Which target is the best for broadheads?

DooWap
The Morrell Yellow Jacket is an excellent broadhead target and also affordable.
TomBow
Target life depends on how many times you shoot the target with broadheads. I had a block that lasted a few seasons. The BLOCK is a layered-foam target. When you start shooting broadheads into it, you start cutting the foam layers. When pulling broadheads out of the target, you start to pull out pieces of the cut foam. Eventually, you cut enough layers and pull out enough foam that you start losing stopping power. I was able to extend the life of mine by putting a ratcheting cargo strap around it and tightening it down to compress the remaining foam together. I haven't had experience with the Morrell Yellow Jacket. I buy cheapo Ethafoam targets, the 3" or so thick white ones sold at Fleet Farm, Gander Mountain, Cabela's etc. When one stops stopping broadhead arrows, I put a new one in front of it so I have at least one layer of solid foam to shoot through. I usually end up buying one new ethafoam target per year which is cheaper than a new Block or layered foam target per year. Haven't yet found the "Ultimate" Broadhead target but these cheapos have worked well for me. Best of Luck and let us know if you find a better way to go. slopmaster
I got the block 4x4 this year and like it a lot you can shoot at dots, diamonds, vitals, and treestand vitals. I think it will last a long time because it dosent have the open layers of foam, when you hit it even with a broad head the posi lock compression system seals the hole up. my dad and i had the orginal block last year and used it for one year and now its no good cause your arrows fly right threw it because so many of the layers got pulled out so i would get a block 4x4 worth the money and will last.
