690VS
I've been fishing muskie for nearly 30 years and i'm obsessed by it. Last week i had my 50th birthday well my beautiful wife gave me a 3 day trip in mid Septmeber to the ottowa & st lawrence rivers to fish with Marc Thorpe. Man i'm so excited i can't wait 3 days of fishing with Marc how can you beat that. Man what a great wife i have. I just wanted to share my excitment with fellow muskie addicts. Thanks for listening. Jim Hudson
That's a heck of a present.. Definately a great place to catch musky... And with one of the best guides for the area!!! Congrats and good luck out there... Is she going as well?
690VS
No she will not be going the dates she had to book didn't work for both of us to go. She doesn't really care to muskie fish anyway she likes to pan fish so it doesn't bother her to send me alone.

hillbilly2thebone
whats up jim? its troy, carey's friend from grand rapids. haven't been on this site for a while. How is that guide service of yours doing? Hopefully well!!! haven't had as much time this year to fish as I would like but I've managed to get out a few times. Carey is supposed to be back in MN in about two weeks and I'm going to try to talk him into a trip over your way. Other than that write back and let me know how the fishin business is over that way. I know you like smallies, you should try to get over here and fish Pokegama with me it's really turned into a fantastic smallmouth lake over the last couple years. I've gotten alot of 4-5 pounders this year mostly on a spinnerbait, which is way fun. check out this nice ski I caught!!! my e-mail is [email protected] src=" ">

Jim Hudson
Hey Troy, just seen this post... I will shoot ya an e-mail here shortly...Marc Thorpe is one of the premier guides for the Ottawa River and the St. Lawrence. This guy puts his clients on some of the biggest fish I have seen!!! And from what I have heard, he is a great guy to boot. This year, from the last I heard, his biggest fish in the boat is a 58" beast. Most of the fishing done on these systems is through trolling. Do a search for Marc and you will see some fantastic photos on his HSOforum.
