How do you all get into your portable non climbing tree stands in wma's and the refuges that do not allow metal climbing spikes put into trees? i know they make them ladders but that would be a pain carrying that into the woods everytime you went out there. it would be great if a company could make some kind of polymor tree spike, cause it isnt metal you could use it(that could be my million dollar idea)

Kodiak; they make those steps that strap around the tree. I think they are metal, but it shouldn't matter since you are not "damaging" the tree. They strap on just like the portable ladders.
