coldmark
The local tire guy talked me into putting 4 10-inch wheels on my tandem axel trailer instead of 4 13-inch wheels. He said the 10-inch wheels are much wider and will ride better on the snow and ice. I was going to get the 13-inch wheels so I'd have more clearance. Who's correct? 13 is as big as I can go, I wish I could get 15 inchers.
love to hunt
1/2 dozen of one and 6 of the other. A wider tire will ride better simply because there is more meat on the road. If clearance is an issue then maybe the 13" is beter for you. I would question the load capibility of a 10" tire. You need to make sure the 4 10" will carry the intended weight of your rig. Dave
On previous ATV trailers, I blew a few 13-inch skinny tires. Since my 10-inch, wide tire equipped trailer, I haven't blown one. Same weight carrying capacity. Must have something to do with the flex of the skinny versus wider tire
