Erik Johnson goes #1 to St. Louis...

Jonathan Toews (UND) goes #3 to Chicago...

Phil Kessel goes #5 to Boston...

Kyle Okposo (from Mpls, to play for Gophers next year) goes #7 to the Islanders...

Peter Mueller (from Bloomington) goes #8 to Phoenix...

And I kind of like what the Wild did with their second first-round pick (from Edmonton), trading it to the Kings for Dmitra. Not sure I like them giving up O'Sullivan, but it might show a willingness on the part of the Wild to take on some salary and add some solid veterans.

Ya- Wild adding Demitra is a good move. He is a Rolston type and will get a lot of points for us. He is quick, good hands, great shot and reportedly a good guy on the bench to help along the kids. Finally it looks like the Wild are moving to a more offensive-oriented team. About time. They need to put more pucks in the net....

It's about time the Wild spent some money. Mr. Naegle is awfully cheap. The wild are among the most profitable franchies yet spend little to actually win. I don't think the fans will hold on forever waiting for the "future.''

I think top brass has finally realized honeymoon is over w/ the fans, and its time to start producing some results. At least that is what I am hoping the message is with going out and getting Demitra. We need another solid blueliner who can paste people and put the puck in the net, to take Mitchells place. I think Henry is history. That project is/was a bad idea. He is not NHL material, in my book....
