You don't have to do nothing, just mix the gas in tank with 50:1 oil, Leave the pump alone, it won't hurt anything.

It's better because it saves you $ 300.00 now, and later when you'll have to get another again (or if you blow your motor a whole lot more than $ 300.00).

Has anyone ever considered the fuel/VRO pump just ain't working? I paid $230 for mine a couple years back and that was up here. If you do it yourself you may be able shop around get a fair price. The new pumps are said to much more reliable than the ones on the past.

I have to replace the pump because the male fitting in the vro pump where the fuel line goes in has come out and will not stay in and ther is no adhisive that will make it stay. So I either have to replace the pump ro convert the whole system. I opted to just go with mixing my own oil/gas. Thanks for the help!!
