running 4 stroke in the winter

Question

I am looking to buy my first boat and I'm trying to figure out if I should get a four stroke or a two stroke engine. Does anyone know if the four stroke will run okay in the winter or do I need a two stroke if I want to fish in the winter?

It should be no problem with a 4 stroke, just be sure to let it warm up before taking off, and tilt it down completely when out of water to drain motor.

Depending on use, you might ask a dealer if you need a thinner motor oil for cold temps.
