The only reason I'm at work is to try and keep my mind off what I'll be doing tomorrow!!! Gotta love that big "0" next to the "days" on the counter!!!

I miss that muscle twinge in the forearm, the sore back, sunburn, and the near heart attack that comes with the season's first follow!

Hey Jon,

No not yet.... I am still out at Walter Reed. I finally got confirmation that I will be released back to good ole MN on June 11!! Very excited to hear that news!

Looking forward to getting out with you and some other FMer's.

Yeah I can't wait! I am getting pretty comfortable with my new arm so that should help for sure. I actually found an electric reel that should work, just in case my arm quits working. It is going to be quite the expierience when I finally nail one. The big test will be next week when we are in the longville area for the week.

Great to hear, a week up north sounds like the perfect "Welcome Home" present for you.

I was fishing this weekend and saw a fisherman with a prosthetic arm. Was his right arm, so he worked the reel in his left hand. He was doing it all, including working the anchor rope, you name it. Granted, they were not chucking the muskie gear, but you too will be in the same boat as this young man was, no pun intended!!

Enjoy the week, and pictures on the photo board of a fish or two are EXPECTED! You already have, but make us proud again!

Well fellas, I'm finally back in good ole MN for good. What a great feeling that is. I was deployed from September 04 until yesterday. I missed ALOT of fishing time so I am going to have to hit the water pretty hard this year.

I hope the muskies treat me better than Baghdad did. wink.gif

Yeah i will try and post some pics of some fish when I get back. I am sure I am going to have quite the battle on my hands if I hook up.

Lund 95, if I remember correctly you had connections to Moorhead. Is that right? I just want to remind you of my offer to take you out on some local waters chasing muskies. If you get up this way anytime before freeze up, I'd love to take you out and try put you on a muskie. If you get up here give me a shout and we'll go chase some toothy critters. I'd personally appreciate the chance to meet you and thank you for your work and sacrifice.

Hey Scoot, yeah my fiance' went to concordia but she graduated this year. But I make it up to Detroit

Lakes quite a bit so hopefully this summer sometime. Thanks for the invites fellas. Unfortunately I didn't hook up yet again. Saw some really quality fish but nothing went. Biggest northern was low to mid 30's.I did get quite comfortable using my arm so that was a plus. Took awhile to overcome some obstacles but all in all in was a great trip.

Next time ski fishing will be on Mille lacs July 9th. Probably a muskie/walleye trip. Any tips or just a way to contact me... [email protected]
