What an embarassing performance by the maroon and gold. I'm a fan of the Gophers, but I can not defend thier awful performance tonight. There is no and I repeat NO excuse for this group of babies, and there lack of heart. Yes I know the Gophers are young but there is no reason to lose to a team like Holy Cross, this group of young men have played the game long enough to know what it takes to win. There isn't a Gopher fan out there that can seriously defend this group of pansies.

They weren't just paper champions and they weren't overrated. They did not play the last two weekends and that's what it comes down to. You can argue they aren't the best team because they didn't play as a team, but you also cannot say theywere overrated because they WERE the best team the better part if not the whole second half of the season up until the Final Five. Yes, the best team in the country would have played the last two weekends and won and they did not do that. I know I'm contradicting myself but I think you see my point. It is very disappointing to me but the way they played they did not deserve to win. The way they played I'm glad they didn't squeeze out a victory because they would've gotten killed tomorrow night. Instead we can watch Holy Cross get beat the way they should've gotten beat tonight.
