prop prices

ssaamm

Question

I had a little bad luck and took a good chunk out of one of the blades of my prop on a rock. The others aren't too bad. It is an aluminum factory prop on my Yamaha 90hp 4 stroke. What should I expect to pay to get a new one of similar style. Is stainless steel that much better? Can I do any damage if I run the motor at low speeds for a while? Thanks for the help?

ssaamm usually when you take a chunk out of one of your blades the other blades get bent some times hard to see. a damaged prop can be run but it could take some life out of your lower unit. i wouldn't recommend using it much if at all depending on the damage. get it fixed at a prop shop and get your self another prop for a spare
