marcum lx3 and universal sonar

Is there anywhere to purchase an adaptor plug for an LX3 to plug into a universal sonar motor? Do they even make them? Is this even a good idea?

As of right now, Marcum is not compatible with the universal transcducer on Minnkota. Hopefully sometime soon they will be compatible. Would love to have the LX-3 on the bow.

How do you get the list of what is not compatible? I have not seen that yet but is a critical bit of information. Do not want to have to buy a new depth finder after you buy the troller. Is all the Lowrance products (X85) compatible with the Minnkota universal sonar? Vexilar? Thanks Brian

Vexilar products are compatible. I installed an FL-8SE on my bow with the universal sonar last weekend. Minnkota's HSOforum (search Johnson Outdoors) has a list of compatible sonar units.

I have my LX3 on the bow. It's easy. Just buy the high speed ducer kit and rig it to fit under the trolling motor. Don't do it now though cause there's some serious ice fishing left!
