Used Maxxum 74 questions

I just picked up a near new bow mount Maxxum 74 for $400 from my neighbor. I've come to realize he was very gracious considering it was used all of 6 times. There are no instructions as it came from his "new to him" but used boat. His son ordered another model so he had no use for the Maxxum.

I've never installed/used a trolling motor. Other than contacting Minn Kota, does anyone have mounting/installation suggestions or an internet source for this kind of information?

I'll be putting it on a 93 Crestliner NightHawk 1640 Deluxe. I've got multiple questions but I'll take it somewhat slow.

Thanks. A rep at BoatUS made photocopies of the manual from their display model Maxxum. It looks as though this has all the info I need.
