fivebucks
I am looking at getting a used boat lift but I do not know how big of one to get. I have a Lund 1800 Pro-V so I know it's 18' long. I went to the Lund HSOforum but it did not say the weight of my boat. Any ideas from those in the know? Thanks!
0 dukhntr
Fivebucks: I don't have the same boat (mine is a Crestliner 1850 Sportfish w/ 115 Yammie 4 stroke). All up, I think the water ready weight is about 2400#. I bought a lift when I bought the boat and got a Vibo 3600# lift that is 108" wide. My only regret is that I should have gotten the 114" lift since the boat is so wide. Hope this helps.Dukhntr.
0 norm
we also have a pro-v 1800 with a 175 evinrude and 9.9 kicker. the guy who sold it to us said we should go with at least a 2500# lift. hope this helps
0 CabinBoy
fivebucks-Go with at least a #3000 lift that is at least 102" wide. Price won't be that much different between this and a #2500. It's nice to have that extra security especially if you let people in the boat before you lower it. I would also recommend getting a motor stop installed to save your transducers on those windy days - found this out after it was too late!------------------fish smarter, not harder
