Steve Foss
Here's the image I posted experimentally in the photo sharing board. Buzz thought I oughta post it here, so here's hoping it works twice! Shot it with a Canon digital 10D (forerunner of the digital Rebel) and a Tamron 70-300 mm macro. Now I'm shooting the Canon 20D and Canon 100-400 mm image stabilizing lens, and WHAT a difference those two upgrades make over the Rebel/Tamron. Fast? Oh yeah! buzzsaw
Not a great photo by any means but they were about ten of them in this tree, by the time I got somewhat close ehough to take a picture, only four remained.
Steve Foss
Here were a few that landed while I was sitting in the brush wearing camo. Alert critters that they are, as soon as they heard the shutter on the camera zipping along, they zipped along. But it's fun when birds come in close, even if it's only a moment.
