broken ice auger

My dad just gave me his old gas auger. It is a mid 90's StrikeMaster. The recoil is broke and I need to get it fixed. Does anyone know a good place to get this fixed. I live in White Bear and would prefer not to drive too far. Thanks.

If you have a local chain saw shop check in with them. The recoil is a relatively easy and cheap fix.

Might as well have them do a quick once over if the auger has been sitting unused a while, it may be gummed up.

Replace the plug and run a dose of Sea-Foam through it with the new gas/ oil mix. If the auger was in good shape when the recoil went out and the blades are up to par you should be ready to roll.
