jlm
I think you have to be a little more specific or we could go on forever. What type of gun are you looking for, what do you want to spend etc.?
Gissert
All the inline models that you mention are excellent units. it just comes down to what you want to spend. When I went shopping, I had a pretty good idea that I wanted the Encore. Well, when I put it up to my shoulder, it did not feel natural to me, and I had to adjust the gun and my head to get a good sight picture. I tried several other models, including Savage and CVA. I picked up a TC Omega, and it fit me very well. I have been very happy with its accuracy as well. I have no regrets at about buying it, and it was less expensive than the Encore. mnmuzzleloader
I have a NEF huntman I got it around $150, shoots great and an easy clean with 777 powder, a really nice set up and I can always send it back and get another barrel made for around 50-80 bucks. Very happy with it, Thanks
Eric Wettschreck
I just recently bought the Remington 700. I've been shooting a Hawkins cap lock I bought at Cabelas a long time ago. Talk about a difference. Not that I don't like the Hawkins, but going to that 700 is like going from a Geo to a Cadillac.
lawdog
I've got a TC Omega too. Before that I had a NEF Ultramag. The biggest advantage on the Omega (aside from the longer barrel increasing muzzle velocity and accuracy) is the EASY cleaning of the breach. The most important thing for a new muzzleloading shooter to learn in my mind is that they require LOTS MORE CLEANING than a regular gun and with that breach right there it sure cleans up easy on the Omega type guns...
