Jeff Dosch
Ice conditions have really improved over this last week. This weekends lows were -10 and this week temps are forecasted to have only single digits for highs. We will be able to venture out onto the larger bays by ATV this week. Walleye and pike have been bitting and we've just been waiting for enough ice to get out after perch.

Jeff Dosch
I hadn't heard about the second ATV that went through the ice, but if you had seen the first one you would know why it did. The guy tried to cross a pressure ridge that had open water around it the day before. The area he was fishing had 7" of ice and he should have known better than to cross where he did. A little common sense goes a long way! This week arctic air is moving down and with no snow on the ice it will make ice fast. They are calling for lows in the -10s and highs only about 5 degrees. ATVs will be no problem by the weekend.
