big lake

i'm looking for info about big lake north of star prairie.i've heard reports about the crappie fishing out there but have never fished it. any help would be great including any ice reports . thanks in advance.

I live about 5 miles from there and fish it from time to time. The lake is like most others in the area - hit or miss. You can do well one day - go out the next and get nothing.

The crappie fishing can be good if you know where to find them. There are also very big sunfish and pike.
