Pearson fish house heater (anvil type)

I recently aquired one of these gems and am wondering if there are any safety issues with them since they are so open on the ends. would they be safe enough to use in a sleeper? it is vented.

also is there a btu rating for them? and are they still made? they come from New Ulm, Mn.

I have one and I wouldn't use it for a sleeper.

Doesn't seem like it vents very good if you check it at the top of the pipe. I don't like that there isn't a thermocouple. If it went out at night it would keep sending raw propane in. Not good.

I bought a orbis and had good luck so far.
