I would suggest using the guide spacing charts only as a starting place for determining guide placement. Let the stress distribution tests and casting tests tell you where to place the guides. In your case, only the stress distribution test, unless you plan to cast with you ice rod wink.gif, will be used. That's one of the benefits to building your own, you have the time to put into a rod to make sure everything is done perfect.

I would agree with priorbass. Those are the exact measurements I use for my rods. Before I started building ice rods, I went and measured all the rods I have for a starting point. If you have any questions, let me know.
