how do you add a avatar?

You'll have to add that in your profile. Click on MY HOME on the upper right, then go to PERSONAL information and then add it in there.

i did that but i can only get the stock avatars,i want to add my own but can't seem to get the url right for some reason.i have done it on other sites but they had a browse button that i used to get to my pictures folder on my pc.

Well, the url will have to be inserted correctly for your avatar to work. Keep trying.

yup. You'll have to use something like photobucket.com or similiar to host your images.

mudslinger, you need to have them posted on the web. Something local to your pc will not work. If you can find a site that lets you post pics send it there or just find something out on the web

By URL does that just mean the pictures address, so if i find a pic on the net i can just copy paste the adress in the properties of the folder?

Esoxmn.....I think why they dont work is b/c when you go to copy the URL address, they dont have a .jpg or .gif tag on them. They dont have anything, all they have is the address. I was going to use shutterfly too, but I found it wasnt working. So I found out that hpphoto worked for it and thats where I got mine from.

BTW you would think to just add the .jpg tag to the end of the address would work but it doesnt.
