Captain Ken
TomWay to go! That's a great fish! I've been wondering how the opener went. While you were chasing muskies up there this weekend I was chasing salmon down here. No lunkers yet this year, too early, just a whole bunch of yummy tasting coho salmon.Ken------------------Captain Ken Kesslerwww.captainken.comGuiding in Illinois and North East Minnesota847-970-9108 Illinois218-742-4680 Minnesota
Guest
Hello all,I just checked the Illinois portion of this site for the first time. I am from Gurnee, Il. and travel to Rainy Lake for 1 week every year and also to Pequot Lakes for a long weekend here and there. I'll be sure to keep checkin this area now that I know it's here!Jeff
Big Laker
I'm also originally from Wildwood, Illinois (went to high school in Gurnee) but now live in MN. I watch this site closely. My parents still live there and I'm hoping to take my father out on the lake for some salmon/trout sometime after we get back from our annual trip to Rainy Lake. Captain Ken
Hi guys and Welcome!Glad to have you with us. We're still a small section of FM but growing!! Spread the word. When you're ready to hit the big lake for some salmon or trout, check out my posts here or let me know. I'll let you know what is happening out there. I've been going out 1-2 X per week. Fishing got a little tougher in the past 10 days, but they are still around. Kings are getting activated. Coho have moved out to 140 FOW (8-9 miles off shore). Nevertheless, the little buggers are still close to the top.Ken------------------Captain Ken Kesslerwww.captainken.comGuiding in Illinois and North East Minnesota847-970-9108 Illinois218-742-4680 Minnesota

MuskyMark
Been pretty quiet on this topic lately. Anything happening on Illinois waters? Anyone fish the Fox Chain, Shabbona, Busse Lake(s), other local lakes/rivers?? Haven't had a chance to fish much lately, but I'll post next week after fishing Shabbona.
