Most everyone on this site has been in the coroner at least twice, especially if they have been around for 10 years plus.

I know I've been and I still have the same name since 2002-even though the date shows 2006, why I don't know.

Dang, this thread has been an eye opener.  And here I only ignored my wife for 10 years, it's funny some of you are still married!   🤣

I do most of my posting at work so its a miracle I'm still employed.

Also I don't think you can call yourself a true member of the forum unless you've been put on time out at least once.  Back in the day I had a few time outs but I never knew why.  Whichever mod did it never informed me or gave me a reason.

I had my old boss once point out the number of posts I've made here.

" But that comes out to be just less than one post a day."

"I guess you are right, carry on."

:)

And of course, I was also a member of Team Timeout a couple times myself.

;)

Congrats on your 10 years Steve!!

Made me look too, and it says since 8-11-2000..........    Holy carp, thats a long time ago!!

Back in the day we used to have some pretty big get togethers on the Duluth forum.  Many B-side Bash's, a few garbage clean-ups, and a couple Lake Superior get togethers.

I've met alot of folks from on here up on URL back in those old days of the Crappie Boom.  IBOT's and clamping, oh my😂

The first forum I was ever a member of was an outdoor forum associated with the Outdoor News. It wasn't very busy and someone in there posted a link to FM and I tried it and it was much busier than the Outdoor News forum.

Same story for me!

I just looked and saw that I was also a 10 year member on this site as of 12/11/2008...got me wondering if the fishingmn site was different, as I recall joining in march during a spring crappie boom on red.  Sure enough I joining that site as of March 2 2005.  It has been a great site to be a part of and have had great conversations, learned a lot, and have sadly seen too many members pass away.  Very odd on that part when I find myself shedding a tear for people I had no connection to other than the love of the outdoors and reading and exchanging info on the interweb!

Congrats you old forum puewps 😁,  you guys are the ones that have kept her going. Just curious though, back then did the monitors have green lettering with a black background..😂

The window on AIX that I read Usenet News on was....   I started on computers with punch cards, then moved up to a 2260 and MTMT (multiple terminal monitor task) which was an IBM Rochester homegrown thing for running terminals attached to the 360/65 we had at the time.

Actual first computer I ever used was a CDC 1604 at the U of MN.....

    • After starting out the winter with a lack of snow February is making up for it. Earlier in the week the southern half of the state received 4 to 6 inches of snow and in the last couple of days the north and northwest received from 4 to 8 inches of snow.Snowmobile trails are now open in most, but not all, counties across the state with conditions rated as good or excellent in many counties on the Wisconsin Department of Tourism's Snow Conditions Report (exit DNR). Many state properties were regrooming cross-country ski trails and ski trail conditions ranged from good to excellent. Some freezing rain fell in the south after the snow, resulting in some icy conditions in some locations. Temperatures are expected to warm this weekend, especially in the south where more rain is also in the forecast, while the north is expected to get more snow. With all the recent snow, conditions should be excellent for the American Birkebeiner Ski Race this weekend in the Hayward-Cable area. It is the largest ski race in North America and attracts thousands of skiers from all over the country and world -- skiers from 49 states and 36 countries participated in 2018 -- and draws tens of thousands of spectators to the area. .
    • I doubt it but you can call the DNR and ask. You can pull up the regs on a smart phone anyway.
    • ......The 6 packages from the first round are long-gone, so I am brining up another batch. Ended up buying an entire case of butts (@ $1.18 per #) from Sams. I am going to do 3 butts - one with High Mtn buckboard seasoning and two with another dry brine consisting of Tenderquick, brown sugar, garlic salt, and black pepper. I always like getting to the raw ingredients of spices versus relying on someones "magic rub". If it goes badly I will revert back to the HM cure. As an added note, I also picked up a $20 loin that I put HM cure on to experiment with some Canadian bacon.... Will check back in 10 days or so!
    • if thats the case i hope there printing water proof versions!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i cant keep mine nice and tidy in the cab of my truck!!!!!!!
    • Have not heard this. Why just a boat? It needs to be in some peoples buckets to so when their 500 fish over their limit they can't say I no know, I no know? 🤷‍♂️
    • Got mine yesterday during the snow.  I was informed that there is a new rule requiring the MN Fishing Regulations be carried on your boat and that this new rule is not documented in the Regs.  Anyone know if this is fact or just a kindly recommendation?
    • Mike is as good as it gets, especially if you're talking archery.
    • Mike Foster A-1 Archery in Hudson WI March 19th at 6:30
    • Coyle for Donato and a 5th, not as bad as nino for rask because at least donato has some potential to be a better goal scorer but overall yikes, not thrilled with Fentons bigger trades so far, the smaller ones have been good but that is the problem. Either way all signs point toward a rebuild of some kind.
    • It's a prairie zone.  We're right on the northern edge of the hills, Just north of I90 near Sturgis.
