brittman
State of Louisiana is advising hunters stop using deer urine lures because of possible ties to chronic wasting disease. State of Michigan has just banned the use of all natural deer urine lures because of ties to chronic wasting disease. Baiting (which is very prevalent in Michigan) is now banned in the counties where CWD has been found.
Jmnhunter
some very interesting CWD information can be heard below if you're interested to get some science behind the disease http://www.themeateater.com/podcasts/ep-070-chronic-wasting-disease/ http://podcasts.joerogan.net/podcasts/doug-duren-bryan-richards

candiru
The article in the Strib. www.startribune.com/louisiana-to-hunters-deer-urine-lures-might-spread-disease/490173741/ Why we are still allowing deer urine to be shipped and sold is beyond me. That Joe Rogan podcast was very interesting and informative. Well worth the time.

delcecchi
So the deer hunters of Minnesota are going to let a few folks spread CWD into the wild deer herd for the sake of money and do nothing? Why aren't the hunters of Minnesota making themselves heard? Where are all the organizations that purport to represent deer hunters? The hunters outnumber deer farmers by many times over. At least 100 times as many hunters as deer farms.
