Catch Cover hole sleeves

Hello,  looking at getting some hole sleeves for my catch covers.   I've heard the white colors are better than the blank for seeing in the hole.  But they also make a glow in the dark sleeve.  Do these actually work and are they worth the extra money for them ?   I've never been in a house yet that has the glow ones.

They just came out with new glow sleeves that are suppose to be a big improvement on their old glow sleeves.  That being said, they are $35 each!  If you're going to get a few you might as well get them for all your holes.  They do make a big improvement on drafts coming into the shack and preventing holes from freezing.  I went with all black with mine.  I made blackout curtains that let in 0 light for sight fishing in clearer water and believe the black sleeves help even more for seeing your jig.

The glow in the dark sleeves do work, quite well.

 

If sight fishing is something you are after, black is actually better.  It blocks the light.  Same concept as a spear house, or closing the windows in a portable to allow you to see down the hole better.
