Popular Post HalloweenBuck
This was my first black bear, taken in MN on opener, using an Athens Ace bow. I shot it around 7 and we didn't find blood right away since I saw my shot was a little lower than I wanted. The next morning we tracked it and found it 100 yards from the bait site. There was plenty of blood after 7-10 yards and was easy tracking. I didn't get a weight on him but he's definitely a big guy. Not sure if I should do a rug or 3/4 mount yet. leech~~, Boar, woody1975 and 3 others

PurpleFloyd
Great job. Do you have any ideas on what you are going to do with the meat yet since it is your first one? Sausage, ground meat etc?
HalloweenBuck
Already had bear steaks and burgers! Man, it's good. I cut it up like a deer, following the muscle. Ground up some and left the others for steaks. PurpleFloyd
