Hey folks!  Jumped on a Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 lens, my first lens purchase and hopefully an upgrade to the Nikon kit lens' (18-55 and 55-200).  Anyone have experience with the Sigma 17-50, on either a canon mount or Nikon?  I'm curious how it compares to the kit lens'.  I'm excited to be able to shoot in f/2.8 as I have not had good luck with low light, indoor photos.  I'm mainly snapping pics of the kids indoors.  I've heard varying accounts on the Sigma vs the Tamron as well.  Thanks!

I have no personal experience with that lens but I do know it gets generally favorable reviews. I think you've made a great choice and will see if you enjoy it as much as other Sigma owners do. Congratulations!
