monstermoose78
I have been ordering lots of jigs, plastics, and other things I think I need. My question is I have been having issues with 2 pound test line and am wondering what brands have held up well for you? I run some 4 pound test, some 3 pound, and 2 pound test. I have been having lots of break offs on 2 pound test. How often do you need to be retying?
GeluNumber1
I've landed plenty of pike and bass with 2 pound Sufix ice line monofilament. Just replace it often and you're good to go. The stretch is forgiving if you hook into something a bit bigger than you anticipated, and fresh line is plenty strong. I'm sure going up in test strength will help, although you might lose out on finicky fish. monstermoose78
th64
4-too heavy-2-too light-3 just right.1 or 2 might be fine if everything is perfect but when is everything perfect? monstermoose78
MN BassFisher
I really like 3lb line - if I can find it. 2lb is good for the smallest of jigs and when the fish are gun shy - the 2lb line I've used the most and had good success with is 2lb Stren Ice in the golden color. monstermoose78
