Bought a Kayak

Recommended Posts

hey @eyeguy 54 whats the verdict on your kayak anchor? Did you make any changes etc or try out something else? Curious as to how it worked out or what you ended up with?

had my kayak out for '16 maiden voyage yesterday and making or buying an anchor is on my to do list now. making sounds more fun than buying :)

I see you went with an Ocean Kayak.  That's what I finally settled on too after looking at many.

Royce, your choice looked really good too - I hadn't seen that one before and might have to look at it closer for a second one.

I'll have to work on the fishing mods after I spend some fishing time in mine.  We just set it up for hunting last fall since I got it later in the season.

A few dozen dekes, shot gun, and blind bag are aboard.  And the yak felt steadier than when empty.

Yep, Prowler 13.  It's sweet if you don't have to carry it far.  Not that it's a big problem but I can see a "need" for something in the 10-12 foot range for easy, convenient splashes at a moments notice.

Thats why I want to look closer at what Royce bought.

I looked at the Old Town Predator pretty hard but only saw a higher price tag and less features.
