MN BassFisher
Has anyone chased fish on LCO lately? I am headed up to a cabin on the lake this weekend and it'll be my first time on LCO. My buddy hasn't had the best luck patterning the fish in this lake. I'm hoping to put him on Smallies and am assuming that they are going to be in deep or nearby deep water. I'll be focusing my effort on deep structure and points. Baits of choice will likely be Jigs w/ craw trailers, tubes and drop shots. If anyone has had recent luck on the lake, I'd love to hear about it! Is it Friday yet?
snoozebutton
Haven't had a lot of luck out there lately but did pretty good earlier in the year. If you can afford it, I'd hire a guide for half a day, those guys spend lots of time out there and know what's working and at what depth they're at. Sorry I can't be of more help. MN BassFisher
No worries, my buddy just sent me over some results from a Bass tournament out on LCO this weekend and it got me excited to try it out this weekend.
Nick Kuhn
There are lot's of good smallies in that lake. I couldn't tell you where to find them, but there is plenty of rocky structure that smallies will love. I would say hit the humps and points. The west end of the lake is loaded with submerged humps that you could quickly move from one to another.
MN BassFisher
I rigged up a few lines last night with tubes, jigs w/ craw trailers, dropshot and lipless crankbaits. I hope to cover some ground and try break/structure in 10-20fow until a pattern can be established. Might try some topwater during morning/evening hours because there is nothing better than a topwater smallie bite!
