PakAttack1986
I'm going out on Minnetonka on Thursday from a pontoon with some family. I hardly ever fish this lake, maybe once every few years. I'd like to try my hand at the elusive muskie and wondering if anyone had any tips? We're launching from West Arm, but I hear this area is better suited for bass and panfish. I think we'll be making our way over into Crystal Bay where the water is deeper, especially since it's looking like Thursday is going to be a hot and sunny day. I plan on doing a lot of trolling, but also blind casting random fishy looking spots. We don't have the benefit of a fish/depth finder, so I'm not banking on much.. but we have 6 hours to kill so I'm hoping at least getting some pike action. Best lures to use right now, and best depths for mid-day fishing? And is Crystal Bay my best bet, or would West Arm be productive as well? Thanks!
