mrpike1973
Looking at one of these do these have any bad flaws thanks
Jeremy airjer W
1. they like to cup tires2. The PTO (the transfer case) likes to leak3. Brake hoses like to crack (after they have been replaced they are fine)4. Alternators are not cheap and NOT diy friendly (V-6)5. Stab links6. wheel bearings (higher mileage)Other than that they are good little SUV's. Im not sure about pulling anything with them as they are a front wheel drive vehicle. The plus side is the fuel pump can be replaced on the boat launch with a philips screwdriver, rubber mallet, and a small prybar.
mrpike1973
Thanks Jeremy are the transmissions ok?
Jeremy airjer W
I personally am not aware of any normal or pattern problems with the transmissions. The very early models had coolers that cooled to good in the winter and would gel up the trans fluid which would burn up the transmission. Other than that I dont know of anything else.
