Sirius XM subscription

Like many new vehicles, mine came with a 1-year trial of Sirius XM radio. I really do like it but can't imagine paying full price for it. When I let my 1 year trial expire (and after it does) will they throw better prices at me like cable tv and internet companies do, or does XM stick hard to their rates?

They will almost immediately come down to $5 a month if you say you don't want it, but cancelling it is a pain and after you do they will CONSTANTLY call you!!

They always toss out the $5 a month for 6 months then back to regular price but the calls to get annoying after you cancel

About 10-12 years ago, when our subscription to XM was about $16/year each, the wife took up an offer for XM for life for $400 for each of us. I was furious then, telling her she'd been taken, and I get PO'd now when she laughs at me and all the way to the bank and rubs my nose in her great deal (which now includes Sirius too). Its the only reliable radio in Montana due to distances and mountains. Wish I'd gotten one for each of the kids then too...

Yeah, they are definitely easy to negotiate with. As a delivery driver, I absolutely love satellite radio! FM radio is absolutely unlistenable now!

The last 2 times I renewed I got it for 24.99 for 6 months. that is for 2 vehicles. Always need to cancel though to get it.

Thanks for all of the replies. I had a feeling that their price was jacked up for no reason. I'll definitely play the game now. I do like the product but certainly not for their advertised price.

I go through it every year. I get 89.00 per year, plus fees, which amounts to around $120.00. Two weeks ago, I decided to go with the 6 months for 24.99. If you google "Sirius deals", you'll find the most current deals people are getting. It's the game you have to play! I belong to amazon prime and download music on my phone and play it in my truck using the bluetooth setting.....pretty neat for a "non-tech, type person".
