Neighbor_guy
Thanks again to everyone who is following along with these threads. The decoy of the month this time will be:A Rainbow Trout 8 1/2 - 10" in length. Please feel free to show as much or as little of your progress as you would like. Share your final products though. Even if they are done late. We all like looking at new decoys.
Neighbor_guy
cut em out last night, the plan is to make a "natural" and a "grumpy"... Clamped up to get it roughed out... 8 3/4" body length. Should gain an inch or two with the tail... All shaped and sanded. Need to do the details around the gills and mouth. Then its off to fins. Neighbor_guy
"Grumpy".... "Natural Trout Shape"... Exposed aluminum fins for a little flash factor. And a lot of metallic paints to get that special shine that trout seam to have to them. Pushed to get them done early this month. I am starting to get everything packed up for my impending move. The shop will be closed for a month or two very soon. Not sure about the June Decoy. I have an idea, not sure if I can get it done with everything going on. Thanks for looking.
