BROWNSVILLE / LA CRESENT AREA

Recommended Posts

Was down camping on the river a couple weeks ago for turkey hunting. Saw a lot of different diver and puddlers, and a lot of them. Does anyone have any info on hunting this area? Is it a good late season hunt on the river? Is there a consistent amount of ducks during the season? Planning on scouting a couple weekends this Summer...

This is a terrific area. Lots of birds all season thanks to the many large closed off refuges. Plenty of birds early season, holds good numbers of migrating birds, and great late season diver numbers, and more Cans then you will probably see anywhere else.

Lots and  lots of hunters too though. Take a look at the maps so you know where the closed areas are, and be prepared for competition, especially on weekends. Gotta get up early and know where you're going. Afternoon hunt is busy too. The MN side isn't as bad as the WI side for hunter numbers but still is busy.

Feel free to message me

Good luck
