weatherby question?

In looking at the weatherby accumark mark v in 338 lapua all other calibers have stainless barrels but the 338 lapua has chrome moly blued barrel and weighs less....?? Any idea why? Difference is?

Chromoly = cheapest, lightest, high accuracy, shorter life

Chrome lined = best for high round count and rapid fire, less accurate

Stainless steel = high accuracy, high round count, heavier metal

Any idea why they would make that only in that caliber?

in that caliber most guys are not shooting as many rounds would be my guess

Just looking at another gun and it lists barrel as carbon steel? Where does this fall in?
