Seen goldfish around?

I asked this last year and got a good amount of responses. I tried all those lakes last year, but I didn't see a single goldfish.

As of recently, anyone seen any goldfish swimming around? Still looking to add one to my life list of catches.

what were some of the places you heard about?

the only one I've heard of is Loring Lake downtown and I also saw on this forum a few years ago that a guy caught a big one at the Anoka Dam, but that looked like a fluke catch

I've never caught one, but I did shoot a carp with my bow that appeared to be big koi hybrid or something (pics are over in Bowfishing forum in the Photo thread near the end)

I think I recall seeing them in Lone Lake in Minnetonka.

Yes you shot a Koi. A koi is the same as the common carp just bread for looks long time ago. Same kind of mutation that display mirror carp and leather carp. Latin name is all the same.

I caught a big ole gold fish in Lake Geneva in alexandria as a kid. Think it was more of a fluke though. Got too big and was just recently got thrown out. She was fat.
